I just got two pairs of older style half spotters for my Base Camp rack. I ordered these pieces after working with Jeff to come up with a way to have a band compatible half rack station for presses outside my rack. This setup saves a substantial amount of time, since it isn't necessary to reconfigure the interior J-Cup height and safety heights inside the rack to do bench presses with bands (I typically reserve the interior for squat work, and I like to minimize changeover time whenever possible). The Sorinex hitch pins, safety straps, and a third set of half spotter arms prevent the bar falling forward beyond the safeties, eliminating the foremost safety concern of working in a half rack. The Base Camp system is so adaptive that I discover training problems it can solve all the time.
