This is where the "rubber meets the road" per se. It is the connection of the bar to the rack. We are very proud of our J-Cups. Integrated plastic protection is replaceable, but also extra thick to protect expensive bars and paint. Curved design lends itself to safety of the lifters hands, but also to minimize the chance of the bar getting "caught" under a j-cup on the way up, something that can be detrimental. Those of you that this has happened to know what I am taking about. J-cup post goes all the way through the rack for utmost security, not only through one side of tubing, and can easily fall out if hit with a hard from underneath, that is often seen with the "slot" designed racks. Comes in pairs.
