Lifting Style (Current):

A modified Conjugate Training system for my training in general. Regardless of the ultimate goal. I

believe that an organized variety and focus on conditioning and assistance exercises is more important

than training core lifts too heavy or often.

Area(s) of expertise:

Strength and Sports Training. With 2 years strength coaching experience at the Division 1 Collegiate

level as well as 12 years in the personal training/club management I have been exposed to many training

needs, goals, and special population clients. Specific areas of focus has been injury prevention, management,

post rehab, and performance enhancement.

What got you into weight training / what is your training past:

At 12 years old and being a smaller kid I ended up getting into weightlifting just as a means to grow.

(I was 5' 8" tall and 100lbs) By pure luck a weightlifting club trained on a platform in my high school

weight room. I got into competitive weightlifting at the age of 15. After that lifting was my thing, it is the

reason I chose exercise science as my major in college, the reason I started personal training at the age

of 18 and the reason I chose my overall career path. There is no aspect of strength training that does not

hold my interest to some extent. Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, strongman, bodybuilding, I believe we

can learn from every facet of the strength world.

Current Goals:

As a new parent and working with Sorinex Exercise Equipment my goal is to keep in good condition so I

can run around with my little boy for many years to come as well as keep in the know of new training

methods, equipment, and applications.

Having been involved in so many different strength sports, martial arts, coaching and training areas I bring

a well rounded look at the Strength, Health, and Fitness industries. Aside from that, awesome cooking/grilling skills.

Age: 27

Height: 6' 6"

Bodyweight: 255lbs

Athletic experience:

Three sport athlete in high school, lettering in all three from sophomore year on.  After taking trips to various
Ivy's and Pac-10 schools decided to sign with the Cornell University football team.  Financial and familial
considerations eventually persuaded him to stay close to home and accept a full scholarship at Western
Washington University.

Lifting Style (Current):

An amalgamation of effort-based and results-oriented training styles.  I have been venturing further and

further into the world of CrossFit with my training focused largely around metabolic conditioning and basic

Olympic lifting.

Area(s) of expertise:

Training for athletes with emphasis on explosive movements and speed development.

What got you into weight training / what is your training past:

After 20 years of headlong immersion in athletics I decided to take a few years off to travel and see the

world a bit.  I have been having a good time shaking the rust off lately with focused, concentrated effort.

I have always responded well to the team aspect of training which is why I really enjoy community-oriented

and the cohesive feel of small training environments (ie CrossFit, Athletes Arena, group classes, etc).

Current Goals:

I would like to focus on being able to compete in the Carolina regional CrossFit games next year while at

the same time begin to dabble in the world of Highland Games.  In the meantime I would like to concentrate

on taking one day at a time by working to expand my training knowledge and personal relationships in the

wide world of human performance.

I enjoy sharing stories (there are a few that involve monkeys, hurricanes, and skilled veterinary work)  and
meeting new people everyday so if you are in the South Carolina area please stop by and BBQ some gator
 with us.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.      Q. Does Sorinex Have a Catalog?

a.      We did, but with over 500 items that are added to and customized daily a catalog outdates itself.  We prefer to respond thru internet or make a specific proposal personally. Now we keep the website as up to date as possible, and now with a reconstructed site, navigating around Planet Sorinex is easier than ever.

2.      Q. Does Sorinex Customize?

a.      Sorinex was built on custom equipment.  We can do anything with our existing designs or would be happy to work with yours.

 3.      Q. What is the Sorinex Market?

a.      85% of our business is made up of Schools, Colleges and Pro Teams.  Yes, we do sell the equipment to private individuals but they are serious and want the best.  Their equipment is the same quality that is built for a pro team.

 4.      Q. What is the cost?

a.      You get what you pay for. Good equipment at a fair price. Rely on us to provide you with equipment that will provide you with years of safe, flawless performance.

 5.      Q. Where could I find Sorinex Equipment at work?

a.      Over 150 colleges and Pro Teams in the U.S. many in the North East, Virginia, Florida, California.  We do a lot of repeat business with happy customers.

 6.      Q. OK, a little more specific please?

a.      Only the best lift on Sorinex. The University of Miami, West Point, Maryland, The Tampa Bay Bucs, The Cleveland Browns, The Pittsburg Steelers, The Atlanta Falcons are just a few of the places you will find Athletes training in Sorinex Rooms.

 7.      Q. Can Sorinex Supply me with some references?

a.      We can supply you with a list and welcome you to ask not only about us but how other companies fulfill their promises.  On time and done right is what we do.

 9.      Q. Do we use what we sell?

a.      All Sorinex Equipment and supplies are used and pre tested by us. We are all lifters and competitors and use our stuff daily.  Most important to us is our reputation and we would never sell substandard Bargains that could come back to haunt us.

 10.   Q. Does Sorinex Give Discounts?

a.      The good thing about dealing directly with us is that the best price is always the one we quote.  If volume and repeat business begins to occur that we can also look at pricing for the future.

 11.  Q. Does Sorinex have Dealers?

a.      As a rule we do not, but in some instances exceptions are made and certain pieces are offered by other companies or gyms. Power-Systems, Rogue Fitness, and Westside Barbell are some of our current associates carrying select pieces.

 12.  Q. Does Sorinex do home delivery?

a.      We try our best to get the absolute best price for shipping we can but we can't control the efficiency of the truck lines.  At all cost try to have the shipment go to a business address with a loading and unloading area.  Most times there is an up-charge for home delivery, calls to announce delivery and lift gate trucks.
